VCampus Momentum in the Association Sector Grows as Organizations Launch Non-Travel Options for Professional and Continuing Education
VCampus Corporation announced it has signed a multi-year contract with the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). CMAA will use the VCampus-powered virtual campus to deliver soft skills and construction management-related courses to professionals in the field, anytime, anywhere.
The addition of CMAA to its client base signifies the growing momentum VCampus is experiencing among associations and other professional organizations, who are leveraging the company’s e-learning solution to deliver critical continuing education to their memberships at a time when travel budgets are being cut and web-based training and education solutions are in demand. Other VCampus clients in this sector include the American Diabetes Association, American Chemical Society, Learning Options, National Council of State Boards of Nursing, National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, and Professional Photographers of America (www.ppa.com), among others.
“Providing professional development and continuing education to construction managers is central to CMAA’s mission,” said William J. Normand, Director of Professional Development, CMAA. “The VCampus solution has enabled us to get up and running immediately with a learning solution that delivers relevant learning to construction management professionals, giving them the additional option of anytime-anywhere learning. And because VCampus hosts and manages all the technology, we were able to take on the whole initiative without taxing our internal IT staff or limited resources.”
VCampus’ “Community of Learning” value proposition gives CMAA access to a range of subject matter experts from within VCampus and at VCampus’ client and partner organizations, so that CMAA can tap into these resources as well as VCampus’ own courseware design and development team to create custom and personalized content in the future. CMAA is currently selecting content from VCampus’ extensive library of more than 8,000 courses, including courses developed by VCampus, its content partners and its clients who have content of interest to construction managers.
“We are very happy to add CMAA to our growing roster of association clients and welcome the organization into our Community of Learning,” said Daniel Neal, President and CEO of VCampus. “Through this community, CMAA has an extensive network of resources to develop and augment its e-learning campus. One would be hard-pressed to find another e-learning company that offers its clients this breadth of resources and quality of service, and with such a fast time-to-market and affordable pricing structure.”
One additional reason CMAA selected VCampus was that VCampus’ solution is uniquely capable of being integrated with an organizations existing infrastructure. CMAA will be using the e-commerce component of its existing web site for the e-learning solution. “This ability to quickly and easily integrate into our systems was a key differentiator when comparing VCampus with other e-learning companies,” said Mr. Normand of CMAA.
