Unisa and ICDE discuss expectations for 26th ICDE world conference
Unisa will host the 26th World Conference of the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE), to be held for the first time in Africa. “This is an extraordinary and out-of-the-box opportunity,” said ICDE Secretary General, Gard Titlestad. Speaking following a successful two-day workshop at Unisa, where the conference details were deliberated, he described Unisa as a forerunner for distance education in Africa, one that could have a significant effect in alleviating the continent’s challenges.
