Tulane University renews technology migration and support contract with Collegis
The agreement with Collegis is a four-year, $4.4 million contract extension that builds upon the shared success of a prior technology agreement at Tulane originally signed in January 2000. Collegis, as a primary technology partner to the university, will continue to explore ways to refine the legacy systems and business processes at Tulane with a goal toward greater efficiency, convenience and value for Tulane’s investment in administrative technology.
Collegis, based in suburban Orlando, Fla., will continue to provide on-campus staff and technical support for the Tulane Accounting Management System (TAMS) on Oracle Applications System 10.7. Collegis will manage the conversion of TAMS to the Oracle 11i E-Business Suite. Additionally, Collegis will work with Tulane for the next two years to support existing student information and financial aid systems while Tulane implements the new SCT Matrix system, which has been selected by the university.
“Our desire to renew with Collegis is driven by the corporation’s willingness to come to the table and meet our strategic needs,” said John Lawson, Ph.D., vice president for information technology/CIO at Tulane University. “Collegis’ expertise in financial systems and the quality of the assembled workforce at Tulane will help support our Oracle Financial & Grant systems and our legacy student information system as we transition toward SCT Matrix.”
