Three More Wisconsin Technical Colleges Select CollegisEduprise for Improved Technology Services

April 29, 2002

Citing a need for streamlined institutional efficiencies and improved services to students, faculty and staff, a consortium of Wisconsin Technical Colleges has chosen CollegisEduprise to host PeopleSoft applications for financials, human resources and student administration systems.

The WILM Consortium is comprised of three Wisconsin colleges – Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, Lakeshore Technical College and Mid-State Technical College – that form a unified force for improved institutional efficiencies across the various Wisconsin campuses. Another Wisconsin institution, Chippewa Valley Technical College, though not a member of WILM, signed a technology management contract with CollegisEduprise earlier this year.

The WILM agreement is a five-year, $3.3 million deal that represents the latest in a growing list of state consortium clients for CollegisEduprise. Others include CalStateTEACH (California), Tennessee Board of Regents, Oklahoma State Regents, Kentucky Virtual University, Colorado Community Colleges Online, Connecticut State University System (Online CSU) and the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.

CollegisEduprise, the leading technology services provider to higher education, recently formed a partnership with PeopleSoft, an alliance which helped solidify the agreement on behalf of the WILM Consortium. CollegisEduprise will combine its comprehensive services with PeopleSoft Internet-based student information and digital campus software to create a full range of services, including remote and/or on-campus hosting, plus ongoing application management.

CollegisEduprise’s hosting and management options offer PeopleSoft’s existing and future customers a flexible way to improve campus operations. Instead of providing dedicated resources to host and manage applications, institutions can elect to have their software applications hosted and maintained by CollegisEduprise either off-site or on campus; saving time and money, speeding deployment and maximizing functionality.

By outsourcing the hosting and management of their applications, higher education customers can redirect valuable IT resources to other campus projects. The CollegisEduprise-PeopleSoft

agreement helps institutions reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) for technology investments, while realizing a faster return on investment (ROI) for technology services.

WILM Consortium operates from one common database and data center, which serves all three institutions. This enables the Consortium to change the way data is collected, processed, reported, and used by staff members, school administrators, federal and state agencies.

CollegisEduprise has more than 110 higher education clients nationwide, including Loyola Marymount University, University of Notre Dame, University of Southern California, National-Louis University, Salt Lake Community College and Valencia Community College (Fla.).
