Tech Data U.S. Expands Online Education Offerings for IT Resellers
CLEARWATER, Fla., (July 24, 2002) – Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ/NMS: TECD), a leading worldwide provider of IT products, logistics management and other value-added services, has made Cisco certification courses available online to its reseller customers through an agreement with Logilent Learning Systems Inc, an e-learning service provider specializing in live training via the Internet. Resellers can now leverage Logilent’s hands-on tools to combine instructor-led training with remote lab solutions, resulting in a more robust customer learning experience.
Using Logilent’s e-learning tools, resellers can rapidly develop IT skills via the Internet:
Logilent LiveLabs enable users to rapidly gain practical experience on real networking devices via a Web browser. Logilent lab technology provides resellers optimized scalability for high lab capacity as a result of dynamic equipment allocation. Each lab participant gets anytime access to real devices via an intuitive user interface, robust lab guides, lab notes and 24/7 technical mentoring.
Logilent IT Courses provide users with customized lesson plans that build upon existing IT skills. Pre- and post-assessment tests, and a variety of lesson plans that optimize the training process.
IT e-learning is an $800 million market with projected growth to $3.5 billion by 2003, according to IDC.
