Tech companies lead Gulf Coast school restoration
Intel Corp. is organizing a massive disaster recovery effort in the Gulf Coast areas affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, with the goal of helping schools rebuild their technology infrastructures and “renew their learning environments for the 21st century.” Cisco Systems and BellSouth Corp. also are among the technology providers with school restoration programs under way.
