Montgomery Eases Cell Phone Ban at Schools
High school students in Montgomery County can now bring cellular telephones and pagers to school as long as the devices are turned off during the school day, the county Board of Education voted yesterday.

The upcoming opening of a new training and testing center at Montgomery College shows that education doesn’t stop after college.
The college’s ACT Center, one of four such facilities at North Harris Montgomery Community College District campuses, will open Nov. 8 to provide state-of-the-art Web-based learning. The centers will hold open houses that day which the public is invited to attend.
