Virginia’s community colleges to raise tuition 9 percent

The annual tuition for a full-time student from Virginia will increase from $1,114 to $1,214, or $100. The State Board for Community Colleges on Thursday also approved doubling the technology fee, from $45 to $90 a year for full-time students.
