South Dakota Statewide System Licenses SunGard SCT Solutions to Help Provide Better Service to Students, Staff, and Faculty
MALVERN, Pa., June 09, 2005 — Eight Regental institutions throughout the state of South Dakota are looking to technology to help them become more efficient and service-oriented. The statewide system plans to unify human resource and finance operations and open a new array of online services using SCT Banner and SCT Luminis solutions from SunGard SCT, an operating unit of SunGard (NYSE:SDS).
The South Dakota Regental System, comprised of six universities and two special schools, will upgrade its current SCT Plus Finance system to SCT Banner Finance. The System also licensed SCT Banner Human Resources and SCT Luminis Platform to provide a multi-institution system that will enable common business practices and a common set of policies for finance and human resources. SCT Luminis Platform will provide a user-friendly, unified portal into the applications for finance and human resource users.
“Our objective is to have common business practices and efficiencies across the System that will ultimately result in better service to our internal and external constituents,” said Robert T. The System also licensed SCT Banner XtenderSolutions for imaging and document management and HigherMarkets for SCT Banner. HigherMarkets helps institutions to manage and control their key procurement processes, including catalogue management, product selection, requisitioning, and order management. Earlier, the System licensed SCT Luminis Data Integration for e-Procurement, which provides real-time data synchronization between HigherMarkets for SCT Banner and SCT Banner Finance, creating a seamless user experience and promoting data integrity across the enterprise.
