San Diego Global Knowledge University (SDGKU) and the Council for Normalization and Certification of Labor Competencies of Mexico (CONOCER) have signed a historic international cooperation agreement

SDGKU_11Dr. Carlos Leon Hinojosa, distinguished Director General of CONOCER, and Dr. Miguel A. Cardenas, Founder and President of SDGKU, in representation of their respective organizations, have formalized a strategic alliance. The purpose of which is the promotion, development, and certification of global competencies in education, business, government and civil society sectors in Mexico as a strategic effort to increase their productivity and global competitiveness. This agreement also distinguishes SDGKU as the sole international certification entity of global competencies in Mexico.

The signing parties recognize global competencies as a priority within the pyramid of labor competencies and skills needed in today and tomorrow’s workforce. Their increasing multiplier effect and beneficial impact on organizations is being acknowledged as indispensable for competitiveness as the processes of globalization continue to expand in our society. Global competency development for individuals, organizations, and communities will assist them in capitalizing on new opportunities, economic and social, offered by the global economy.

SDGKU has been the pioneering academic and global competency certification entity for the ITC global knowledge network, proudly in its 30th year of service to the international community.

CONOCER is the entity of the Federal Government of Mexico (Secretaría de Educación Pública) in charge of promoting, developing, and disseminating a national system of competencies. It contributes to the strengthening of human capital, to increased productivity, and to the global competitiveness of the workforce at all levels in Mexico.
