Oracle Takes $5 Billion Jab at PeopleSoft
PeopleSoft, based in Pleasanton, Calif., sells enterprise application software, which companies use to run their internal operations, from finance to human resources. It had revenue of $1.9 billion last year and has 8,000 employees.
