Online discussion about how distance education is changing community colleges

The Chronicle of Higher Education is sponsoring a live, online discussion

about how distance education is changing community colleges, on Friday,

November 17, at 12:30 p.m. U.S. Eastern time. Two leaders in the field —

Steven Lee Johnson, the provost of Sinclair Community College, and Mike

Germano, the dean of academic services at Haywood Community College — will

respond to questions and statements about issues facing community colleges

with respect to distance education and online learning. The chat will take place live from the annual information-technology meeting of the League for Innovation in the Community College.
