Construction of 100 Mbps WAN Now Complete for Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) of El Paso, Texas
Numerex Corp. (Nasdaq: NMRX) today announced the completion of a project signed through its subsidiary, BNI Solutions, with Time Warner Communications to install and support a 60-site WAN (Wide Area Network) for the Ysleta Independent School District (YISD) of El Paso, Texas, supporting a student population of 48,000 and 6,500 employees spread out over 250 square miles.
The 100 Mbps and Gbps data service network offers productivity enhancements for staff and faculty, provides the backbone for high-bandwidth student instructional applications and will provide teachers with access to shared databases to provide appropriate accountability metrics and data-driven decisions.
