NEW! Blackboard Add-on Module for WebBoard
Akiva recently announced the release of a new Blackboard add-on module for WebBoard 6 Editions. This module allows WebBoard owners to seamlessly integrate their message boards into the Blackboard Learning System, a leading course management system for e-Education, through Blackboard’s Building Blocks technology.
“We are pleased with the launch of WebBoard’s add-on module for Blackboard and the flexibility it offers our clients,” said Steve Hoffman, president and COO of Blackboard Inc. “Continuing to offer specific applications that plug-in to the Blackboard Learning System is critical, as it gives clients the opportunity to utilize an array of unique applications in conjunction with their core e-Education platform.”
All owners of WebBoard 6 Editions have the option to purchase the Blackboard add-on module for their software. Instructors have the choice to either replace the Blackboard discussion boards with WebBoard or add WebBoard to what is already present.
“The Blackboard add-on module to WebBoard provides educators with a powerful technology package that launches their students into student-safe collaborative learning environments,” states Dr. Roger Carlsen, Wright State University’s faculty leader for graduate educational technology programs. “This module gives educators the ability to integrate top-rate message board technology (WebBoard) with a leading course management system (Blackboard) for even richer student collaboration, information access and improved communication with parents and professionals.”
The Blackboard System Extension to enable interoperability with WebBoard is available for purchase with any WebBoard 6 Edition for $995. For a limited time, all WebBoard Education Edition and WebBoard 6 purchasers in September will get a FREE Blackboard System Extension upon request.
