The Teachers College of Western Governors University was created with a $10 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education, and is supported by additional funding from corporate partners and foundations, and additional federal grants for teacher education.
The Teachers College offers programs for nearly every educator: associate’s degrees for paraprofessionals who need to meet the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act; teacher licensure programs for paraprofessionals, uncertified teachers and second career professionals at the bachelor’s, post-baccalaureate, and master’s degree levels; and master’s degrees and endorsements in learning technology and math education for already-certified teachers.
