Mass. uses web to help students prep for college

Boston.com reports that while Massachusetts high school students have rising MCAS passing rates and higher SAT scores than the national average, only about half of the state’s ninth graders start college and even fewer finish with a degree. Now, state leaders hope that a new online campaign and a growing partnership between K-12 and higher education officials will start to alter this trend. The Department of Education and the Board of Higher Education are spending $250,000 to promote a new web site, ReadySetGotoCollege.com.
