HCPro Announces HCProfessor: Online Learning Courses, Quizzes, and CE Credits for Health Care Management Professionals and Trainers
Opus Communications, Inc. (Opus), a division of HCPro Corp. (HCPro), announced its new online learning division, HCProfessor (www.hcprofessor.com). Current HCProfessor online CE-credit training courses include offerings on Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations’ (JCAHO) pain management standards and training on medical staff standards. Users will also find CE quizzes for coding compliance and restraints.

Among the continuing education credits approved for HCProfessor continuing education (CE) courses are AHIMA and NAHQ/HQCB CE credits towards RHIA/RHIT and CPHQ recertification. Users can “test until success” by taking exams as often as they like until they pass the test, and obtain CE certificates online.
New courses include HIPAA training for medical staffs, nurses, and other healthcare staff, as well as Health Information and Medical Records Managers and department heads. Upcoming courses in the series will include HIPAA for laboratory personnel, HIPAA for physician practices, and an Introduction to the Information Security OfficerRole. More healthcare training series packages will be announced during the summer of 2001.
Opus Communications plans to add courses in credentialing, and JCAHO survey preparation throughout the rest of 2001.
