Hazelden’s Distance Learning Programs Receive Approval from American Psychological Association

CENTER CITY, Minn., Nov 1, 2000 (BW HealthWire) — When Minnesota-based Hazelden Foundation began offering internet-based distance learning through www.DLCAS.COM in 1998, they were spotting the first signs of a change in the culture of addiction prevention and treatment. Hazelden projected–correctly, it’s turned out–that with an increasingly diverse group of health and human service organizations requiring some training in alcoholism and addiction, there would be an increased need for a one-stop online resource to keep professionals up-to-date on evolving certification and recertification requirements and the courses they needed to fulfill them.
