Faculty in Penn State’s Smeal College of Business Administration recently received two grants from IBM to support research projects underway in the college.
The grants are part of IBM’s Shared University Research (SUR) Program. The grants are in the form of equipment and have a total value of $182,747.
The first grant for $99,374 was awarded to faculty members David P. Christy, Anthony M. Kwasnica, Elena Katok, and Gary E. Bolton of Department of Management Science and Information Systems. The grant was awarded for their proposal, “Laboratory for Experimental Economics.”
The second grant totaled $83,373 and was awarded to Nirmal Pal, Executive Director of the eBusiness Research Center, and Arvind Rangaswamy, Research Director for the eBusiness Research Center. The grant was for their proposal, “eBusiness Incubator Laboratory.”
