Distance Education and Virtual Reference: Where Are We Headed?
Back in the old days when I was going to college (not so very long ago, really), things were a little simpler. You walked to class—or drove, if you lived in L.A.—and you would sit in a room with a couple dozen friends and fellow students and take notes while you listened to your instructor go on about one subject or another.
