Colleges, Universities Offer Hurricane-Displaced Students Opportunities to Continue Studies
For many students the anticipation and excitement of a new school year was cut short when Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast. We have found some of the colleges and universities in other areas that have opened their doors, and often their wallets, to help students continue their education. K-12 schools are also opening their doors to help children find structure and a safe environment to learn after this tragedy. While this is by no means an exhaustive list, here are some of the institutions and resources that are helping those in a time of need.
