Colleges should be brands, says UGC vice-chairman
Vice-chairman of the University Grants Commission VN Rajasekharan Pillai told FE, “There is need to identify five or six high quality institutions in pure sciences, economics and humanities, give them focused support in terms of resource allocation, and nurture and build brands in the same way as IITs for engineering, IIMs for management, AIIMS for medicine and the National Law School in Bangalore and Bhopal.â€
