Marvin Bell, a former social studies teacher at the Milwaukee Education Center, faced a conflict a couple of years ago between his roles as the school’s resident computer guru and as one of its teachers. He wanted to figure out how to use computers to enhance a classroom lesson about slavery in the 19th century.

Students to have more out-of-building learning

Students at Ann Arbor’s Pioneer and Huron high schools will be studying in more portable classrooms this fall, will have more out-of-building learning opportunities, and will find additional textbooks and classroom furniture.
