The UW-Madison Division of Information Technology helped bring Chicago blues harp player and educator Billy Branch to professor Ron Radano’s “Blues Legacies” class via Internet videoconferencing. The event linked Luther’s Blues, a music club in Madison, to the USITE/Crerar Computing Cluster & CyberCafe at the University of Chicago.
NSU has been approved for at least $365,000 in Title III federal grant money. The funds come from the Higher Education Act’s Strengthening Institutions Program and will be used to improve science laboratories and equipment. ‘This is a good run for us,’ said NSU President John Hilpert.
