Instructional Design Models

INTRODUCITON

The theory of transactional distance does not prescribe a specific model for the design of instruction. It defines how the learning space can be designed to optimize the dynamic between learner autonomy and instructional structure for each individual learner to maximize his or her learning. As such, it accommodates a wide range of existing instructional design models, and has the capacity to subsumes new ones as they may emerge in the future.
