Blackboard Helps K-12 School Districts and Teachers Make Digital Learning Materials More Accessible for Students
Blackboard Ally is designed to integrate with a school district’s existing LMS and automatically runs class materials through an accessibility checklist that looks for common accessibility issues. The solution generates a range of more accessible alternatives for the teacher’s original content including Semantic HTML, audio, ePub, and electronic Braille. It provides teachers with guidance for improving accessibility of their digital class materials, while also supplying reporting on the current state of content accessibility at the class and district level.
