Bills in California Legislature Could Help Stop Identity Theft at Colleges
Concerned about the growing problem of identity theft, Joseph Simitian, a Democratic assemblyman from Palo Alto, introduced a bill (AB 46) on December 2. It would also prohibit employers from requiring employees to use their Social Security numbers except for tax purposes.
