Indeed, with the number of internet users worldwide predicted to grow to more than 502 million this year, up from 87 million in 1997, e-learning is one of the fastest growing sectors. Not only does it eliminate the need for traditional and costly infrastructure, it enables anyone anywhere to access many different levels of education from specialising in a favoured hobby to gaining a doctorate degree.
