An Action Research and Learning Approach to the Implementation of Web-supported Music Instruction
However, the effectiveness of such transformation is dependent upon the ability and willingness of music teachers to make a conceptual leap in their approach to the teaching of music. Online course developers and consultants need to keep this in mind and work collaboratively with music teachers and students to determine their specific needs in terms of Web-based music teaching and learning resources. This paper reports on how such an approach led to the implementation of Web-supported learning for several groups of music students, in Southern Cross University’s (SCU) Bachelor of Contemporary Music Program and the local community.
