CodeBaby virtual agent welcomes new employees and makes corporate training more personalized and engaging

EDMONTON, AB September 14, 2005 – CodeBaby®, the leading developer of virtual agent software, has announced that its award winning virtual agent technology has been licensed and deployed by the Alberta Motor Association (AMA), an affiliate of both the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) and the American Automobile Association (AAA). The AMA has used CodeBaby’s technology to create “Amy”, a CodeBaby e-Learning agent that delivers an online orientation course to all new AMA employees throughout the province of Alberta.

“Our goal was to make our online training more engaging, and to improve subject matter retention,” said Gerald Mykytiuk, Education and Development Manager for AMA. “We chose CodeBaby because they have a proven product and a successful track record with large companies and clients. With CodeBaby’s help, we have been able to achieve our goals.”

Amy, AMA’s e-Learning agent, was put to work in the “Welcome to AMA Online” employee orientation program, and showed positive results immediately: over 80% of those who took the course found Amy to be a significantly useful feature, with almost 90% of users saying they would encourage their co-workers to visit the online course and “meet” Amy for themselves. Over half of the employees found that Amy helped them remember the subject matter better, and almost 60% felt that interacting with Amy encouraged them to complete the program.

“We believe that e-Learning is the killer app for our virtual agent solution, and we are now working with a number of clients and partners throughout North America in this area,” said Shaheel Hooda, CEO of CodeBaby.” A CodeBaby e-Learning agent, like the one in use at the AMA, can help a company get the most out of its corporate training resources, increase employee efficiency and in turn help improve their bottom line.”
