Agencies struggling to put ‘diploma mills’ out of business
Several state education agencies are trying to shut down diploma mills, with mixed success. Universities in Washington, D.C., have joined forces to stop one company from including their names on a Web site. Concern about cases of falsified transcripts, meanwhile, will top the agenda of a meeting next week of the Association of American Medical Colleges.
