Adelphia Selects Click2learn’s Aspen Platform To Manage Enterprise Learning for 20,000 Employees
Click2learn (Nasdaq:CLKS) has been selected by Adelphia (Nasdaq:ADLAC) — one of the nation’s leading cable companies — as the e-Learning platform and solution provider serving more than 20,000 employees.
Using the Aspen Learning Management Server (LMS), Click2learn’s leading skills and competency-based learning management system, Adelphia will be able to deliver, track and manage all of the company’s training programs — including leadership development, sales skills, product training, customer service, technical certifications, call center training and new employee orientation.
Click2learn’s robust learning management solution will provide a single point of management for Adephia’s blended learning program encompassing instructor-led classes, live e-Learning classes delivered synchronously through Interwise, as well as personalized online asynchronous learning content and courses. Aspen LMS will also integrate with Adelphia’s quality monitoring system for its call centers.
“By choosing Click2learn, Adelphia recognizes the significant advantage in partnering with one company for its entire e-Learning strategy,” said Gail Cagle, Vice President of Training of Adelphia. “There are fewer integration issues and costs to deal with, and it was important for us to choose a market leader.”
Click2learn’s solution enables Adelphia employees to choose courses, track their progress, and select specialized learning paths. By providing employees with the power of personalized and managed e-Learning, Adelphia will be able to decrease its time to market for new product and services. Using Click2learn’s Aspen LMS, managers can analyze an employee’s skills, identify gaps, assign specific courses and certify an employee’s understanding of content. Using Aspen LMS’ “Qualified Employee Finder,” managers will also be able to identify current employees, temps, or “candidates” possessing the skills necessary to quickly fill job openings.
Through Aspen, Click2learn will provide Adelphia access to content from top third-party course providers. In addition, Adelphia will also use Click2learn’s market-leading ToolBook e-Learning authoring software, enabling the company to quickly and easily create new e-Learning content.
“Fast moving companies like Adelphia understand that, with e-Learning, they can quickly disseminate and manage knowledge despite having a large, widely dispersed audience with limited time,” said Kevin Oakes, President and CEO of Click2learn. “With Click2learn’s learning management platform, Adelphia will be able to integrate all aspects of online content, virtual classrooms, and traditional instructor-led training through one, central and unified platform. By doing so, they’ll be able to reduce costs, and improve the learning experience at the same time.”
The company’s learning initiative covers the option to deploy other components of Click2learn’s recently announced Aspen Enterprise Learning Platform, designed to offer end-to-end e-Learning solutions and manage richer, personalized learning. The full Aspen suite shipped commercially in early September.
