In 2003, Hersh Waxman, Meng-Fen Lin, and Georgette Michko extended the study to include data from 42 studies representing a combined sample of approximately 7000 students. This study is presented below. The mean of the study-weighted effect sizes averaging across all outcomes was .410 (p < .001), with a 95-percent confidence interval (CI) of .175 to .644.
