Six Jesuit priests, their housekeeper and her daughter were assassinated in El Salvador in 1989. The U.S. government appointed Congressman Joseph Moakley to lead an investigation. What he found forced him to question a decade of U.S. policy. Through eyewitness accounts of Americans and Salvadorans, ENEMIES OF WAR unravels the political corruption embedded in El Salvador’s civil war and shows how ordinary people have made extraordinary contributions in the fight for peace.
