E-Agenda International Summit Focuses on Mission Critical Issues in e-Education

QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, September 7, 2004 – Thought leaders and visionaries are set to attend the fifth and final e-Agenda global event to take place December 12-14, 2004 in San Diego. Co-hosted by Griffith University, Queensland, Australia and San Diego State University, summit participants will contribute to the development of a bold plan to see e-Learning and e-Knowledge included in the core business of organizations.

The e-Agenda International Summit will bring together leaders from education, industry and government who are committed to identifying mission critical issues, promoting leadership and innovation and returning tangible benefits to individuals, organizations and society at large.

“The highly participative and innovative nature of the e-Agenda International Summit offers participants the opportunity to benefit from the best of a year of meetings around the globe,” said Darien Rossiter, co-convener. “Just a few weeks ago, more than 150 participants and industry experts attended the e-Agenda International Roundtable on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia to discuss issues facing e-Learning, e-Training and e-Knowledge.”

Themes from the Roundtable will be included in the e-Agenda International Summit, in addition to selections from international forums held earlier this year.

“One of the great things about e-Agenda is that it brings together the pioneers in the industry. There is a great exchange of innovative approaches and there is debate,” said Tom Reeves, College of Education, The University of Georgia, Athens, USA. “But what is even better about e-Agenda is that it also offers solutions.”

Over 500 participants are expected to attend the e-Agenda International Summit, which will take place at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina.
