Surrey e-Partnership Takes e-Learning to Thousands of Employees’ Homes With Futuremedia’s Award-Winning Learning For All(TM) Programme
Surrey e-Partnership is one of the UK’s largest groups of local authorities, public and voluntary sector organisations with a total employee base of over 70,000. Futuremedia and Surrey e-Partnership are already planning to offer the Learning For All™ programme to a significantly larger number of employees at additional organisations within the Partnership in the coming autumn.
Learning For All™ offers employees who do not have access to a computer at work, or who work in an environment not conducive to e-Learning, an opportunity to participate in their employers’ e-Learning programme through a low-cost fully installed PC in their home with internet access and e-Learning programmes for professional, personal and family use. The Learning For All™ programme is already successfully running in other large UK organisations and is being implemented by Surrey e-Partnership to give employees the opportunity to improve their skills.
Surrey e-Partnership develops and supports the delivery of e-services in harmony with the modernisation agenda set by the UK’s central government. It is made up of 47 local authorities, public and voluntary sector organisations within the English county of Surrey. Created to help achieve seamless electronic services to the community, it covers law enforcement, health and higher education as well as local authorities.
