New U.S. Commitment to OER
U.S. President Barack Obama announced the government’s commitment to promote Open Education as part of the U.S. National Action Plan for the Open Government Partnership. From the White House blog:
President Obama announced that in addition to the commitments outlined in our current National Action Plan, the United States will take additional steps to make our government more open, transparent, and accessible for all Americans. We will:
Promote open educational resources, to help teachers and students everywhere.
