A HIGH-PROFILE DISTANCE-LEARNING COMPANY, eCollege, said

Wednesday that it would lay off approximately 35 of its 330

employees. The announcement comes on the heels of a decision

by UNext officials earlier this month to eliminate 52 jobs,

from a total of 390.
