2015 Survey Questionnaire Result: Students’ Computer Access and Use (k-12)
Whether one is sending emails or searching the Internet, computer access and use have become vital to many people’s daily lives. Computer access and use have also become an integral part of many students’ and teachers’ learning and instruction in school. However, access to computers may vary among students from different socioeconomic backgrounds. In addition, while computer use presents opportunities to enhance learning and instruction, it also presents a number of challenges. To better understand these opportunities and challenges, it is important to understand how computers are specifically used by students and teachers during the learning and instructional processes. This report examines these issues within the context of the 2015 NAEP mathematics and reading assessments.
