ITVS and PBS’s INDEPENDENT LENS kicks off the season with MAGGIE

GROWLS and its companion website, http://www.pbs.org/maggiegrowls.

Kuhn, who started a movement that forever changed the treatment of

America’s senior citizens. MAGGIE GROWLS, a film by Barbara Attie and

Janet Goldwater, airs nationally on INDEPENDENT LENS February 4, 2003

Kuhn (1905-1995), who founded the Gray Panthers in 1970 after being

forced to retire from a job she loved. Understand the artistic
