Wire One Names Senior Executives to Head Glowpoint Sales Division

Wire One Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: WONE – news) today announced it has named former Polycom, Inc. executives David Budd and Joe Vitalone as senior vice presidents of sales. Their focus will center on Glowpoint, one of the nation’s leading IP-based video communications subscriber services. Messrs. Budd and Vitalone will be responsible for driving both direct sales and building a Glowpoint channel sales network nationwide.

Mr. Budd most recently served as the vice president of sales, East, for Polycom, Inc.’s video conferencing division, where his responsibilities included developing strategic alliances and new distribution channels, and expanding relationships with channel partners. Before joining Polycom, Mr. Budd served as senior manager of telecommunications at PictureTel Corporation, and held a variety of management positions within VMX, Inc.

At Polycom, Mr. Vitalone most recently served as vice president of global business development, in which capacity he was responsible for strategic alliances, new channel development, global accounts and distance education. He previously served Polycom as vice president of sales for North America. Prior to joining Polycom, Mr. Vitalone served as director of business development for PictureTel Corporation, director of sales for AT&T Wireless, and sales director for Mitel Corporation.

The new appointees will report to Mr. Flotron.
