VNU Announces Meeting of the Minds: Senior-Level Training Executives Partner With Industry Experts At TDF 2001

Training Directors Forum 2001 (TDF 2001), the premier conference for training, learning and knowledge executives, announces an exciting lineup of industry experts who will speak at this years event, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort in Nevada, from June 10 to 13. Hundreds of top-level executives and industry experts will attend TDF 2001 for its networking events, workshops, keynotes, Technology for Learning Showcase sessions and breakout sessions.

The entire conference program explores issues such as ROI, performance improvement and the latest advances in technology-supported learning, says Saul Carliner, conference chair and a keynote speaker for Training Directors’ Forum. Carliner will explore the latest technology tools and how they transform training in his workshop “Digitized or Dumbfounded? What Training Directors Really Need to Know About Tomorrows Tools – Today”. He will also address training management issues in his keynote sessions “Ready Set Slay Your Dragons!” and “Lessons from the Idiot Box”.

Carliner, an assistant professor of information design at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, is an author and a popular industry consultant. His works include An Overview of Online Learning and Eight Things that Training and Performance Improvement Professionals Must Know about Knowledge Management, and he serves on the advisory boards of Online Learning Magazine and Medschool.com. He holds a Ph.D. in instructional technology from Georgia State University.

Other industry experts scheduled to appear at TDF 2001 include e-learning strategist Marc Rosenberg, employee-retention specialist Beverly Kaye and e-learning analysts Clark Aldrich and Bryan Chapman. There will also be keynotes by “Saturday Night Live” comedian Al Franken and Tim Gallwey, author of The Inner Game of Work.
