Three state virtual schools get more than 2,000 applicants

The Wisconsin Virtual Academy, Wisconsin Connections Academy and iQ Academies at Wisconsin used paid advertisements, billboards and direct mail to help woo students during the state’s three-week annual open enrollment period, which ended Friday. Waukesha’s iQ Academies budgeted $300,000 to market its school this year.
