The ADL SCORM Version 1.1 Conformance Test Suite is Now Available
The ADL Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) Version 1.1 Conformance Test Suite Version 1.1 (Self Test) is now available to provide organizations with the ability to perform self-testing on Learning Management Systems (LMSs), Sharable Content Objects, Content Structure Format XML documents and Meta-data XML documents. The Conformance Test Suite Version 1.1 will aid organizations in performing testing to determine their conformance to the SCORM Version 1.1. Although using this software is helpful in determining if distributed learning content, tools and systems conform to the SCORM to prepare for certification, it does not imply SCORM certification.
SCORM Version 1.1 Conformance Test Suite Version 1.1 (Self Test) implements automated testing of many of the conformance requirements outlined in the Conformance Requirements and Certification Testing Procedures document.
The Conformance Test Suite can be used to assess conformance with SCORM Version 1.1 via the following testing components:
- 1. LMS Run-Time Environment Conformance Test
2. Sharable Content Object (SCO) Run-Time Environment Conformance Test
3. Meta-data Conformance Test
4. Content Structure Format Conformance Test.
The Conformance Test Suite provides a common framework for each type of conformance test. Each test includes a step-by-step set of detailed instructions as well as a log of each test action and the outcome.
