Sunquest Announces ASP Client Training Web-Based e-Learning Modules Deliver Optimal Use and ROI from Sunquest Products

February 6, 2001

Sunquest Information Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:SUNQ – news), a market leader in clinical data management, Monday announced its new Client Education Online (CLEO) series of Web-based, just-in-time training modules and job aids that will enable clients to optimize their use of, and benefits received from, Sunquest’s clinical information products.

The initial CLEO learning series will be in Beta use during the first quarter of 2001 and is expected to be generally available during the second quarter of 2001. CLEO will be on display at Sunquest’s booth No. 4320 at the HIMSS 2001 trade show in New Orleans from Feb. 5-8.

Using an application service provider (ASP) model, CLEO will provide clinicians with a comprehensive set of learning modules for FlexiLab®, Sunquest’s comprehensive laboratory information system, via the Internet for a monthly subscription fee.

Subsequent CLEO series will offer modules for Sunquest’s FlexiMed® product, a patient-focused pharmacy information system, and FlexiRad®, Sunquest’s radiology information system.

“Our clients have shared their need for cost-effective, leading-edge learning tools with reliable, on-demand availability and easy accessibility,” said Katie Hollister, Sunquest’s vice president of Client Care. “CLEO will address this need and is designed to reduce administrative costs while improving productivity and efficiency.”

Sunquest’s CLEO will provide both self-paced and instructor-led training. With CLEO, clients will no longer have to juggle schedules, travel, or conduct formal training classes for new employees.

By delivering consistent, timely, and personalized product training over the Internet, CLEO will enable healthcare professionals to build professional skills and effectively use their Sunquest clinical information products to perform their jobs more efficiently.
