State higher education institutions to learn about online teaching

Faculty and administrators representing higher education institutions from throughout the state will assemble at the University of Central Oklahoma Friday to take part in a workshop designed to showcase the latest tool in education.

Known as Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT), the online database offers teachers and students worldwide an academic, discipline-based online community where they can discuss teaching and learning issues with colleagues located anywhere.
