November 3, 2003

(Maitland, Fla. and Sedalia, Mo. — October 31, 2003) — The board of trustees at State Fair Community College in Missouri has selected Collegis to help manage the school’s technology operations. The five-year, $3.3 million contract with Collegis, a higher education services company, calls for the firm to assume responsibility for all administrative systems, technical services, user services, and online and academic services.

Collegis will create a new consolidated department of Educational Technology Services (ETS) responsible for the delivery of all information technology (IT) services to the administrative and academic functions of the college. The company will also implement a centralized user services help desk, assist in the design of a new database-driven Web site, and sustain instructional technology and distance learning to support enrollment growth and student convenience.

“Collegis will allow SFCC to focus on its core mission of teaching and learning, with confidence that technology will support those endeavors,” said State Fair Community College President Marsha Drennon. “We selected Collegis because the firm focuses exclusively on colleges and universities. They have knowledge, staff and unparalleled experience and expertise.”

State Fair Community College has an enrollment of nearly 3,300 students and delivers classes or dual credit courses to 30 locations in 14 Central Missouri counties in addition to its Sedalia campus.

Collegis, based in suburban Orlando, Fla., serves more than 100 college and university clients nationwide, including two other Missouri institutions: Lincoln University in Jefferson City and Truman State University in Kirksville.
