SCT Hosts the World’s Largest Gathering of Higher Education Institutions

March 5, 2003

MALVERN, Pa. ? March 5, 2003 ? SCT (NASDAQ: SCTC) expects record-breaking attendance at SCT Summit 2003, the Company’s annual user conference. An expected audience of more than 5,000 client attendees, representing a majority of SCT’s 1,300 client institutions, will convene in New Orleans March 9-12 to learn and share best practices for using technology to improve education around the world.

This year marks the first time all SCT higher education clients have joined at a single user conference. A significant number of new clients will be in attendance, including those welcomed through recent acquisitions and using the SCT PowerCAMPUS, SCT Matrix, SCT Campus Pipeline, and SCT Luminis products.

Collaborating to Improve Education

More than 600 sessions will be presented at SCT Summit 2003, nearly 70 percent of which are presented by clients sharing their expertise and experience. Sessions cover a wide range of topics that address administrative and academic issues, portal and community opportunities, content management and workflow options, information access and integration solutions, and professional development. For many attendees, this is the only professional development event they will attend all year.

A learning lab will provide another forum for clients to share ideas and test the latest SCT technologies in a hands-on environment. Sixty computers comprise an unstructured environment where clients can test-drive the pre-release version of the new SCT Banner 6.0, and Self Service products in several languages. Also available will be SCT Campus Pipeline, SCT Luminis, SCT Banner Xtender Solutions, SCT Strategic Enrollment Management, SCT Workflow, SCT e~Print, SCT Plus, SCT Campus Loan Manager, as well as a variety of products from the more than 40 SCT partners attending SCT Summit.

SCT Summit Goes Wireless

For the first time at SCT Summit, attendees will be able to connect to the Internet using their wireless devices. Wireless lounges will be available in the conference center as well as at the Hilton hotel. Traditional computer workstations will also be available throughout the conference center.

Attendees will be able to capture the mobile show guide featuring at-a-glance agendas, full agendas, daily updates, the exhibitor list, and conference highlights, at PDA sync stations in the convention center lobby. The stations will support Palm OS® and Windows® CE platforms. The mobile show guide is available on the SCT Summit 2003 Web site at summit.sct.com, and via infrared beaming at the convention center.
