April 18, 2001

April 16, 2001—Bellevue, WA—SchoolKiT.com Inc., a privately-held educational software company, today announced it has been selected to provide curriculum software for the Institute of Computer Technology (ICT) Teacher Leadership Seminars in 1,500 schools in 10 States.

ICT is a non-profit public agency that provides state-of-the-art technology training and planning services to industry and education. As a supplement to the training and support provided by the Intel® Teach to the Future program, ICT provides Teacher Leadership Seminars supported by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Teacher Leadership Seminars provide teachers an opportunity to extend their technology integration skills and learning. The Seminars include a variety of experiences (e.g., exploratory projects, sharing, journaling, discussion, and learning on technology applications). Both the Intel® Teach to the Future program and Teacher Leadership Seminars share the philosophy that the effective use of computers in classrooms takes thoughtful integration of technology into classroom curriculum through in depth professional development opportunities for teachers.

SchoolKiT is K-12 learning activity software and ongoing Professional Development support that help educators integrate technology and curriculum. Teachers love SchoolKiT because it gives them a library of classroom-ready activities and ongoing Professional Development resources. Within minutes students are learning curriculum concepts and technology skills in a fun and challenging way.

With this announcement SchoolKiT world-wide subscriptions will approach 4,000 schools. “Our subscribed user base has continued to accelerate over the past twelve months. We are proud to be supporting programs like Teacher Leadership Seminars that are facilitating substantial change in classrooms around the globe. We value the partnership with ICT and look forward to being a part of their programs for many years to come. said Bob von Wolffradt, President and CEO of SchoolKiT.com.

SchoolKiT.coms learning activities complement teachers curriculum planning and classroom practice, helping teachers bridge curriculum and technology.
