Questionmark Releases Sharepoint Portal Connector

June 10, 2004

Questionmark’s SharePoint Portal Connector add-on integrates Perception with Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) using Microsoft “web parts.” Now, just as users might have access to “My Calendar,” “My email” and/or “My Address Book,” they can access their assessments from a “My Assessments” window.

Under “My Assessments,” the logged-in user sees a list of the quizzes, tests and surveys that have been scheduled for them. Clicking on one of the assessment links causes the assessment to start. When the assessment is completed, the results are stored within the Perception database for future analysis, and the user can be provided any appropriate feedback.

“We have witnessed a change in the marketplace where our customers are now requesting that assessments be available at the portal level as well as the management system level,” says Questionmark President Eric Shepherd. “We have heard that assessments need to be part of someone’s daily routine without having to log into a specialist system. Web portals make it easy to combine Questionmark products with other best-of-breed applications to create a learning-centric, performance driven environments to suit many different types of organizations and situations. This is the first of several Portal Connectors that we’ll be adding to our range”

More information and a free 30 day evaluation copy of the Sharepoint Portal Connector is available from http://www.questionmark.com/us/connectors/sharepointportalserverconnector.htm.
